The first week of December, I, (Mª Ángeles) went to Oldham, a town near Manchester in England, to visit Heather´s school: "Hey with Zion". It was a fantastic experience and I learnt a lot: They´ve got two teachers, at least, in each classroom, an interactive whiteboard, they don´t use books, the school provides the children with school material...All the teachers were very kind. I met our penpals there (they sang "Rodolfo el Reno" in Spanish in an "X Factor" contest; they did it very well) and I enjoyed every minute.
Thank you to all of them.

ENGLISH TEACHER´S VISIT
The last week of May Heather Brook, was at our school. She was an assistant teacher in Oldham, a town near Manchester, in England. There, she teaches Spanish and she came to Spain to learn more Spanish and to visit a school: "El Castañal".
She was in all the lessons of English, she talked to us in English, she answered our questions, she read stories, she showed us some photos of her village, of Oldham and of her pupils, she brought her students´profiles, she played games with us, she helped us with our homework, she gave us some games, books, DVD´s, newspapers and magazines.
We also helped her with some difficult words in Spanish and we gave her some presents. In June we sent her some e-mails with photos and some letters. Next year the children of year 5 will write to her pupils .
Thank you very much Heather. You are very kind. It was a pleasure to meet you. We will never forget you.
